Soundshape participated in the 'Together for Rights' campaign alongside the European Commission, dedicated to promoting disability rights across Europe and beyond. The campaign aimed to showcase the EU's commitment to enabling effective exercise of these rights.
Project Focus: Accessibility
The project centered on "Accessibility." Soundshape streamlined production in 24 languages, ensuring high accessibility with audio descriptions and International Sign (IS).
Unified Timing for Multilingual Content
Our most significant challenge was forecasting the timing of audio descriptions and assisting in the adaptation of translations to fit the timing in all languages during the video editing stage, all while maintaining a single, locked video timing. In close collaboration with the video agency and the translation company, we meticulously calculated the duration of every dialogue in each language. This approach allowed for the maintenance of a single video edit across all 24 languages, resulting in a seamless script, whether with or without subtitles and audio descriptions.
Key Achievements:
- 576 video file delivered
- Recording in 24 languages
- SRT, IS, and Audio Description
